I grew up with you. You and Donny were my world when I was a child. You went on to become a part of my soul. Your music was like the music of an angel. Your soft voice and beautiful lyrics would stop me in my tracks wherever I was and whatever I was doing. It was magical. You've been there my entire life, Michael, and now you're gone. My heart is broken.
Most people didn't understand your view of the world. I like to think I came close. I know your children have lost a chance to grow up seeing that world through your eyes. I only hope they remember what they've known up to now. No one is going to love them as much as you did or give them the incredible childhood you would have. I can hardly stop crying about that. I know wherever you are, you have to be so sad for them. I know you wanted to give them the childhood you always wanted and now that will never happen.
I think you were such a beautiful and pure person and I could almost feel your pain when people misunderstood you and judged you. I hope you knew, though, just how many people really loved you. The whole world is feeling this devastating loss.
When I first heard the news today, I was in shock. I cried. Each time I heard your name, it became more like a nightmare. This can't be true. This can't be happening. You can't be gone. I can't stop crying.
