Finally, I Can Really Give Something Back!

I wish this could've been around when I was homeschooling. For the first time in my life, I'm not worried about how I'll earn an income. I’m not here to convince you to check it out, but I want to share that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that might disappear early next year (2025). Below, you’ll find a few of the products that I create videos for, earning a commission each time someone buys from my video. If you want to make more money than you ever dreamed, head over to TikTok and explore the TikTok Shop for Creators (it is 100% free). This is my way of giving back. I want everyone who needs a miracle like this to know about it!

Anyone Can Do This!

Alex Learns to Wire Wrap

Quartzsite, Arizona 2007

Our neighbor, Jim, stopped to talk with us. He's camped on down from us in a van that's converted into a camper, with a bed, tv, fridge and table. He had a friend that was selling a camper that he thought we might be able to use. It was only a hundred dollars, so we gladly followed him to take a look.

We went the back way, over the washes. I kept thinking, "If that van can make it, so can this truck," but really I was a little worried. One bank was kind of steep and I thought surely that would be that. I would be stuck in a wash, having to be towed out. At least we had a friend to help.

After what seemed like forever, we finally got to paved road. We drove on that only a few minutes and we were back on the dirt. We twisted in and out through the desert and finally reached our destination.

We met Barbara and Brian there, along with Hobbit and a few others. We took a look at the camper. It was really nice, but as it turned out, it was too heavy for our truck. That was a huge disappointment.

Well, we had made new friends, anyway. We stayed for hours. Hobbit was especially nice. He was what they called a 'rainbow' person, but he didn't live with 'the family'. He made his living with wire wraps and leather crafts and other things that he sold in town. Alex asked him how to wrap a stone, and Hobbit was delighted to show him.

Hobbit said if Alex could wrap a stone correctly on his first try, he would give him the pliers he used. He spent a long time going over everything Alex needed to do and then let Alex try it. Alex did a wonderful job, with Hobbit talking him through it, and the pliers were his.

Later, Hobbit told me he really enjoyed showing Alex how to wrap the stones. He said Alex paid very close attention to everything he told him. He could tell he was really interested in learning the technique.

Jim told us you could find clear crystals easily at a place called Dripping Springs. We made plans for all of us to go out there on Saturday. Barbara gave Alex a chain for his first wrap and a straw hat for protection from the sun. I loved the way he looked in that hat!

Alex and I drove back to camp on the paved road. We got to see a dust devil in the distance and when we got back to camp, we got to be in the middle of one. How cool!
