Tae Kwon-DoOn April 28, 2008 Alex began Tae Kwon-Do training. He's attending the Cross Martial Arts Center. He feels extremely privileged to be learning under Mr. Steve Cross, who was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2006 and received a part of his training under the founder of Tae Kwon-do, General Choi Hong Hi.
From April 28 to May 30, 2008, Alex attended the family class, instructed by Mr. Chris Poteet. Mr. Poteet currently holds the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt. Alex enjoyed this class so much and Mr. Poteet is an excellent instructor!
On May 28, Alex appeared to be ready to advance to 9th Gup, which is white belt with a yellow stripe. He was invited to take the test on May 31. He passed the test and was promoted! He was so pleased.
Alex was placed in the intermediate adult class, instructed by Mr. Brown. The first week was high school graduation week and Alex was the only attending student for that class. This gave him the opportunity to receive two private lessons--one from Mr. Brown and then another from Mr. Cross.
