Marc and Angel Hack Life - 7/15/14

So Sunday evening, I'm talking to a family member, and without realizing it at the time, my emotional state has taken a giant hit. I've had a rough year and an especially rough summer. I've had to let go of a person I love and it hurts me deeply.

All night Sunday, all day Monday, and this morning, I have been a mess because of that call. I'm consumed with thinking about the past again and I've written a lot about it in my journal.

Then I realized what I have to do. I have to let them all go. I have to move on with my life. The progress I've been making since June depends on it. So I turn to my trusty Google and search, "how do you let go of family and move on."

Sitting there at result #3 was "8 Effective Ways to Let Go and Move On".

The first thing I read was a quote from Ann Landers that said, "Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it."

After reading that pretty much right-on-target post and most of the comments, I scanned the titles of some of the other posts from the site and couldn't resist reading them, too.

I feel so much better now--I just can't tell you! It's wonderful. I have subscribed to their mailing list and I will be reading as much as I can from them.

There is so much good stuff here! These guys deserve many more words than I've given them, but to tell the truth, with all the outlet writing I've been doing, I am exhausted! I'm going to spend the rest of the day reading.
