These were my first subjects on Sharing What's Good.
I was so excited to see that they are still there and still going strong!

I should probably warn the reader that I tend to go on and on at times. I like to write my own way and usually consider unimportant and boring details to be a big part of the story. (end of disclaimer)
I've had an education site for fourteen years now and I have done very little to keep it up or improve it. At the end of April, I decided I really need an income, so I should take advantage of the time I have over the summer and build the thing back up.
I was reading on the Amazon affiliate discussion board and saw a post about using Pinterest for traffic to websites. I visited Pinterest, which has been around awhile apparently, but it was my first experience with it. I loved the concept!
To begin with, I joined as a business and pinned some content from my lame educational site. But I quickly saw the better opportunity - I could share some really good stuff with people.
So I signed up with a personal account. Well, my brain doesn't work well in a large community, so I started thinking about creating my own site, where I would share the good.
I found a lot of interesting reading when I googled "sharing the good" and from there, I found something called Airbnb, which lets people list their homes or apartments for temporary rental. Needing a place in Corsicana in August, I explored them a little more and found my first subjects for Sharing What's Good (Although I hadn't decided on that name just yet.)
Jon Wheatley and Marshall Haas
Where do I begin with these guys? They are awesome! They are energetic and driven and talented and open and honest and just all around absolutely fabulous! I couldn't get enough of them. I read everything they wrote and wished there was more. When I got to the Mod Notebook, I was drooling over it. I need/want one! I will get one, too--it's just a matter of time.
Anyway, the thing I think is so good is that they make it possible for others to follow along on their journey to success. They show the steps it takes. They talk about mistakes they made.
And they are so real! I feel the goodness in what they are doing. They inspire people.
Anyone with sufficient get up and go (which leaves me out) can benefit greatly from what these guys are doing, because these guys show you exactly how they're doing it. This is really good!
